1. There are lots of evergreen content for designers. Just last week on my substack I posted about how to mix patterns with pillows. I created a pattern playbook visual guide and wrote a blog post with 5 additional mockup room styles and pillows. This post focused on sofa pillow styling.

Other evergreen content would be how to hang curtains, what size area rug for x space, how to space plan a long, room, a tall room, a small room, what paints to use for x room...blah blkah blah...

2. A recent trend I have noticed is the wildly popular tv show White Lotus. I could create a substack post about how to design with tropical prints, or creatign a polynesian paradise in your AirBnB. I could create mood boards for these.

Another trend is the sexy spy thriller in theaters called Black Bag I saw last weekend. There was a scene with a dinner party in moody dining room with a sic tablescape. I can't watch tv or movies without the environment being a charachter to notice. it would be fun to recreate teh vibe of that dining room.

3. I enjoy creating the trend content the most. Evergreen content for design I hate to do because it has all been so overdone. You can google or Pinterest search the answers to any of design questions one might have. it all gets boring and feels like pulling teeth to write something out that has been written a million times already, Lol. I can pull any design book off my shelf behind me and find the saaaaaaaaaaame content. So it always seems like a waste of my time and resources to recreate this content, just to post it on a social media platform when I actually have design work to be doing. Anyon eelse feel this way?

4. 5 min trend search on IG and I found House Beautiful magazine had a carousel post asking which design aesthetic plays the hardest? And they had a #marchmadness for basketball style design bracket asking readers to cast their vote for which style would be the MVP. Kind of fun. I'm not sure how to incorporate something like that, except to use different style aesthetics, which I could do using Ai Images.

5. I've decided If I'm going to cretae content it will be for my newsletter or blog and not strictly for socials, but that is difficult because I only post my newsletter once a week. I must admit i have near zero video content of myself. Any suggestions on how ot go about creating this content? In reality I would just repupose written content from the blog or newsletter into visual graphics. None of that shows my face. Or the content ideas i posted earlier, I'm thinking all mood boards or renderings.
