What gets me unstuck, in the broad sense of the word, in different areas of my life, is nature (walking in the nature, breathing in the air, hearing birds signing or wind blowing; or even just watching trees and birds outside my window). Also, I’ve mentioned meditation several times already, but meditation in Sahaja Yoga does truly get me unstuck, gives me detachment, strength, inner freedom and even more loving and caring nature.
Also, once Pollyanna book series helped me get out of the blues, cause that girl is just joy manifested 😀
Looking forward to hearing what’s working for others 😍
I am doing well getting ready for two weeks of travel. I have been on Substack every day and have learned so much! I will miss both calls on 4/23 and 4/30 because I am on flights. 🥲
I'm doing okay, enjoying the trainings. The deep dive lessons are great. I'm an over-thinker for sure!!! Analysis-paralysis *sheepishly raises hand*. But lovin gthe advice, that action is better than thinking about doing something.
I've been thinking about my May challenge a lot.
Nothing exciting going on. Insurance agents, contractors, claims adjusters are still in and out. They have not even begun rebuilding back yet. It might be a little fun to select some new carpet, paint, and tile but I really wish I had EXTRA $$$ to add to make it a really updated, portfolio-worthy space...oh well.
My heart is not into walking everyday so I have not been sticking to my goal. I think I've been doing it every other day, but until the end i will commit to walking daily.
Please do it, just 10 minutes a day! Make it a time when you listen to a podcast you love. Or that you have to listen to 5 songs on your playlist. Use the time walking to speak into your voice notes on your phone and talk about your feelings, your goals etc. The walk is your 10 minute gift to yourself!
Okay I’ll do it. I have gotten dressed and left the house today to go to a doctor’s appointment downtown and I grabbed lunch while I was out. It’s nearly 7 pm but I’m going to put my sneakers back on and go for a walk even though I’m ready to settle in for the evening!
Well, I haven’t done much in the last two weeks. The kid has been sick, then the husband got sick, then I got sick. It’s been two weeks of fevers, doctor office visits, cooking and cleaning, laundry, school work at home, ugh. The kid is back in school, but the husband is still sick. I’m recovering but determined to get work done starting tomorrow. Sorry. That’s my lame update.
As for the progress on my goal, it is there. I am more mindful of my own desire to spend more time with my elder daughter and of her need and desire to have me for herself a little.
It’s not always that we manage to spend 15 minutes all in one go, sometimes it’s 5 min here and 5 min there, but they then add up to more. Sometimes, we get to spend 30 min and more together, just us two.
Also, the baby girl is growing. So, it’s getting easier to be able to spend more quality time together all three of us and all four of us when my husband gets home from work.
I’m listening to Deep Dive 3: Getting Unstuck. I love this piece! So many good tips.
Couldn’t agree more about the need to read more books, books that nourish us and bring us joy. I’ve always loved reading. My mother says she had to get me to bed in the middle of the night so many times when I was a child, because she’d find me with a book in my bed 😀
Holly, you are mentioning “Blogging Today” Substack Community. Has it been closed since? I cannot seem to find it.
Hi Holly and ladies, thanks for cheering us on! My "bookshelf makeover" is coming along and I'm really seeing the progress with the effort I'm putting in (even though sometimes it gets worse before it gets better!). It's been great having the minimum be 15 minutes a day because while I've mostly been motivated and even put in a few hours a few times, there have been other days where I was overwhelmed but at least I could say I did 15 minutes toward my goal.
How has everyone else been doing? Looking forward to hearing how your different types of projects are coming along 🥰
This is an exciting update. I can't wait to SEE it when you're ready for the big reveal. I know it will be wonderful and you'll feel so proud of yourself. :)

It’s ok you can replay them and you’ll me in the May calls right?
Yes!

Did you find a name for your Substack?
Honestly, I’m not 100% sold on the name I had picked — then I got sick. I know. I’m failing at this!!! I get hung up on names!
Maybe just use your name for now and find THE name later!!!
Holly, I’ve just listened to Deep Dive 4. What an amazing lesson! Just what I needed to hear. I will definitely use the advice you are giving there 😊
